The concept of active imagination involves tending to the figures in the imagination as living beings. Figures appear from the imagination in dreams and creative work, like painting. To tend to these images I consciously engage in imaginal dialog to realize they want things like homes, food and water.
The fairy creature travels into the unconscious realm of darkness and dreams to retrieve stars of destiny. She caries a skeleton key to access any locked spaces and a magic pouch of otherworldly necessities. She lives in a modern treehouse and loves to drive her red speedboat.
