Today I visited the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum to sketch wild animals. Drawing from life is a great activity and the museum is full of displays that are perfect for practicing drawing. Today I visited and sketched out the island fox, mountain lion and the bobcat.
While I was at the museum there were lots of schoolchildren running around and learning about all the different animals in the hall. Some of them took an interest in my iPad and sketching if you watch the video, you’ll see their flower drawings briefly on the screen.
