@ mermaids 🧜🏽‍♀️

The at sign, @, is normally read aloud as “at”; it is also commonly called the at symbol or commercial at. It is used as an accounting and invoice abbreviation meaning “at a rate of” (e.g. 7 widgets @ £2 per widget = £14), but it is now most commonly used in email addresses and social media platform “handles”. 

This is the second drawing I’ve made in the special character series. I will finish the rest of the special characters and the lower case letters at some point 🤔. I’m not as excited about the dots and dashes so I have some simplified shapes in mind.
